Students are invited to respond to the theme “Is it possible to live in truth in the age of information noise?” Winners will be announced publicly at Ilia State University in Tbilisi, and the main prize includes a study visit to VH Library.

The MA seminar Václav Havel and the Art of Adaptation at the University of Helsinki invites students to read Havel's plays as part of a living literary dialogue with the wider European tradition. Students read Havel's plays alongside their literary sources: Temptation alongside Goethe's and Thomas Mann's Faustian works, and Leaving alongside King Lear and The Cherry Orchard. The seminar is open to Finnish and international students and is led by Dr. Jitka Štollová (Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies).

Czech language students from Harvard University have rehearsed short scenes from the plays Audience, Vyrozumění (The Memorandum), and Vernisáž (Private View). They will also read an excerpt from the essay The Power of the Powerless.
